Matthew Tkachuk is an American professional ice hockey winger for the Florida Panthers. He won back-to-back Stanley Cups in 2024 and 2025 with the Panthers.

Draft and early career with the Flames

The Calgary Flames selected Tkachuk sixth overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He spent six seasons with the Flames and posted a career-high 104 points in the 2021–22 regular season.

Trade to Florida and Stanley Cup wins

Florida acquired Tkachuk in July 2022 and signed him to an eight-year contract. He played a leading role for the Panthers, including back-to-back Stanley Cup championships in 2024 and 2025.

Family hockey legacy

Tkachuk comes from a hockey family. His father, Keith Tkachuk, is a former NHL player and U.S. Hockey Hall of Famer, and his younger brother Brady Tkachuk is captain of the Ottawa Senators.
