Luke Schenn is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He was selected fifth overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2008 NHL Draft and has won two Stanley Cups.

Early life and junior career

Schenn was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and developed as a hockey player in Canada. He was selected first overall in the major junior draft and later entered the NHL via the 2008 Entry Draft, where the Toronto Maple Leafs picked him fifth overall.

NHL career

Schenn is a right-shot defenceman known for physical play and shot-blocking. He has played for multiple NHL teams including Toronto, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Arizona, Anaheim, Vancouver, Tampa Bay, Nashville, Winnipeg and Buffalo. He won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021, and played his 1,000th NHL game in October 2022, later reaching 1,100 games in January 2026.

International play
