Troy Aikman is an American former professional football quarterback. He played his entire NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys and won three Super Bowls.

Early life and college

Born in West Covina, California, Aikman played college football at Oklahoma before transferring to UCLA. At UCLA he became an All-America quarterback and was later inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2008.

NFL career highlights

Selected first overall by the Dallas Cowboys in the 1989 NFL Draft, Aikman led the team to three Super Bowl titles and was named Super Bowl XXVII MVP. He earned six Pro Bowl selections and finished his career with 32,942 passing yards and 165 touchdown passes. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

Broadcasting and philanthropy

After retiring in 2000, Aikman became a lead NFL game analyst for Fox. He has three daughters and resides in Dallas, and supports charitable work through the Troy Aikman Foundation.
