Ratan Tata

Ratan Naval Tata was an Indian industrialist and philanthropist who led the Tata Group, one of India’s largest conglomerates, as chairman from 1991 to 2012 and again as interim chairman from 2016 to 2017.

Who Ratan Tata was

Born in Bombay in 1937, Ratan Tata was a member of the prominent Tata family. He studied architecture and engineering at Cornell University before joining the family business in 1962, eventually becoming chairman of Tata Sons in 1991.
