History
BMO Field opened in 2007 on the site of the former Exhibition Stadium, designed as Canada's first soccer-specific stadium. It was built to house Toronto FC in Major League Soccer and has since undergone expansions to accommodate Canadian football and international events. The venue is owned by the City of Toronto and managed by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.
