Adam Foote is a Canadian former NHL defenceman known for his physical, stay-at-home style. He spent most of his career with the Quebec Nordiques/Colorado Avalanche organization, winning two Stanley Cups.

Playing career

Foote was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in 1989 and developed into a reliable defensive blueliner. He played 19 NHL seasons, primarily with the Nordiques/Avalanche franchise, and later with the Columbus Blue Jackets before retiring in 2011.

International play

Foote represented Canada at multiple international tournaments, including the 1998, 2002, and 2006 Winter Olympics. His most notable achievement was winning Olympic gold with Team Canada at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games.

Coaching career

After retiring as a player, Foote moved into coaching. He served as an assistant coach with the Vancouver Canucks and later joined the Utah Mammoth coaching staff in the same role.
